A Surge of Pain In Our World
My heart goes out for all the hurting people in our world today. Sure, there’s always a lot of people who are hurting throughout our world, but this week just seeing the news just breaks my heart. Typhoon victims in the Philippines, earthquake victims in southeast Asia, and flood victims in Georgia… it just seems like there’s been an extra surge of pain in our world.
I want to ask you to pray for these people. Right now as this post is going up we’re looking at plans for how we’re going to engage these needs and I’ll be posting about that too, but right now I want to ask you to pray. Pray for the victims, and pray that God will show us how He wants us to respond, and prepare us to do whatever it takes to show His love and healing to a hurting world.
Thanks.

So very true Pastor, there is so much incredible suffering in the world right now and it makes my life seem so small and simple. I pray that all of those affected by these recent events recieve all that they need from God and from His servants, the Church. I will certainly be praying for them.

Here’s hoping that the citizens of the State of Louisiana are frontrunners in the giving, as we know all too well how devestating natural disasters can be. Father, may your grace and mercy cover the people of the affected areas.
In Jesus’ name!
Amen
