the heart of serve

I was told by a very reliable source (Johnny Baywatch & Dr. Tweez) that we’ve had close to 360 volunteers participate in 10 outreaches in the last 48 hours. That doesn’t even count all of the weekend teams at all of the HPC campuses! For me personally that may be one of the biggest means in which I am inundated with humility. One of my favorite pictures that we’ve ever taken as a church was taken this past Saturday morning. It’s a picture of a lover of Jesus, a lover of life, a lover of his family and a lover of serve. This picture says it all, and also adds a little conviction to my life about MY serve. I hope you get some too: conviction and serve.

P.S. I’m headed to the ARC Conference Monday at Celebration Church in Texas. I’ll get to see some of my closest friends and get to hear Craig Groeschel. See you Wednesday night for Life University.

Here’s a few pictures from outreaches:

I have attended services at HPC for more than two years now and I have yet to say thank you. So… THANK YOU!

…. for the timeless messages of truth straight from the bible, for getting down on all fours just to reinforce a message and make us laugh, for motivating others to serve and take part, and for being a vessel that God has used to give me revelation after revelation.

As the single mother of three children it has at times been extremely difficult to move forward. I suffered from lots of rejection from my marriage to my boy’s father. No matter what I did it was still there. Then one day last year you preached a message about how God wants to be the one to take walks with you, and be by your side, and how it is comparable to a groom waiting in anticipation for his bride to come down the aisle. You pointed and said “He loves you so much that He chose you!” I cried. My spirit was revived. I got it. I really got it. I started to walk in it. That day changed my life.

This ministry has given me so much, like: pastors and leaders that I adore and learn from (you, Mike, Johnny, Brother Wayne, Jason Laird, The Becnels & others), ministries that have taught me to move forward and cope God’s way (Reach for Recovery, Blending a Family), relevant life groups, (Homeschool Group), a healthy place for my 3 boys (Children’s Church, Divorce Care 4 Kids), a clean, well maintenanced vehicle (HPC car Prep), a great hair cut, massage, and manicured nails (Ladies Night w/The Cutting Edge Hair Salon), a hot water heater (thank you so much!), my wonderful, sweet man of God, my fiancée (I met Ryan Bayliss at an HPC function), and all the love I can absorb. I am just one life that has been touched. Thank you…. Thank you…. Thank you!!
