Walls Coming Down, Walls Going Up

I was humbled to lead in prayer as a few area pastors laid hands on and prayed over Louisiana’s new governor, Bobby Jindal on Sunday
Healing Place Church had a great honor this weekend – getting to serve and be a part of the events surrounding the inauguration of Louisiana’s new governor, Bobby Jindal. On Sunday afternoon I was invited to pray for Governor Jindal and ask God to guide him and give him amazing wisdom and favor.
Then on Monday, even more HPC got involved. Check out this note that Adam Hymel sent in:
What an amazing day on the steps of our capitol! You could sense the great expectation as our new governor was sworn into office…and yes HPC was right there to be a part of it. Today, our very own Cooking for Christ had the privilege to serve the great men and women of this state a free plate of HPC-style jambalaya. It was even blessed by our Lead Pastor Dino Rizzo before it was sent out.
With nearly 4,000 in attendance at the inauguration ceremony, CFC (click here for some pics) handed out bowls of jambalaya to everyone from the grounds crew working the event, to the service men and women, to the state police and firemen, to the state representatives and legislators and even to the homeless couple sitting in the park.
Today, the family of HPC was represented well. You were represented through every warm smile from our servers and every handshake from the greeters at the HPC tents. While prominent men and women were looking forward to a new Louisiana future, we were there simply to feed people and lift up Christ. Surely, the favor of God is upon us.
It is exciting to see the anticipation for our state – so much trouble in our past, but now looking ahead to a great future. It is great to see walls coming down in Louisiana.
And at the same time, it is great to see walls going up at Highland Road. Our Healing Place Church Arena started getting some walls yesterday and today!

The place where we’ll worship, and invite others to worship, and a base for outreach all over the community, state and even the globe – it’s taking on even more form – so cool to see it.
All for His glory.

I was overwhelmed by your passion and love for the lost when I visited your church last December. This new episode of you praying for the Louisiana governor shows that you are part of the history of your nation.
I love your hearts for God

I don’t know about anyone else, but it feels awfully good to see the new governor of our state praying and being prayed for. God bless Governor Jindal, and through him, the entire state of Louisiana.

I was also at the inauguration and witnessed first-hand the servants’ hearts of those from HPC. You can check out my blog at http://www.shannonrasbury.com. It was a great day in Louisiana!
