Recently I read a verse that I’ve read many times before, but this time it was as if it had neon lights flashing all around it, telling me not to miss this: “…that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.” (Romans 1:12)
“…mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.”
Have you ever thought about how much your faith is developed by the faith of those you do life with? When you surround yourself with people who trust God relentlessly and live in God’s faithfulness, you find your own faith growing to new levels.
This is one reason I fully believe that we are truly better together as followers of Christ. My wins are your wins. When you overcome a challenge through faith in Jesus, my faith grows. When you’re struggling through pain that life has thrown at you, my faith should encourage you to hold on all the closer to Jesus.
“When you surround yourself with people who trust God relentlessly and live in God’s faithfulness, you find your own faith growing to new levels.”
Alone is tough. Self-made is a myth. Solo success is never truly solo.
When you get to the summit of the mountain, you need to make sure you’ve got someone there to take a selfie with. And chances are, your greatest joys will come less in the summits you reach, and far more in being someone who helps others climb mountains.
We truly are BETTER TOGETHER.
